BACK FROM WHERE-EVER I WAS

After much request I am back. Well not really much request, a few requests, as in countable on one hand, honestly three people. I really didn't think that I hadn't updated that thing almost three months. I guess I felt that the little stretch of time I was entering the mundane portion of the trip where everything becomes, well mundane. I was sort of the crossroads of blogging the more interesting portions of the trip while maintain the g-rated nature of the blog. Don't worry Mom, everything here really is g-rated, honest.......

So what has happened in the past several months, not too much until last month. It really was a routine, get up, work, sleep. Every time you're at a new place, at least I've found, you'll squeeze out the regular touristy stuff, then settle in, and then find a new place every now and then. As this is my first experience living abroad, I really thought I had done it all in the first three months I was here, settled into a routine and the days of exploring became few and far between. I blamed it on the language barrier, but that really isn't the case. Someone is willing to talk to you, even if it is a broken conversation, you just have to be willing to do so, 'break the ice'. I was at point when I would consistently think, we don't understand each other so why bother. That shouldn't be a traveller's mentality, or anyone's mentality regardless of situation. So I was more-or-less in that state of mind for a stretch. I really didn't break out of it on my own accord, my friend here, Matt, has been pushing me to explore more and take more risks. So all the credit goes to him. And that's when things got interesting again...
